A Public Servant

(To the right:  fellow Leadership San Marcos class member Marianne Moore, Peggy Patterson, Tonkawa Chief Don Patterson, and Rodney at the dedication of the Tonkawa Chief Placido statue.)

For what ever reason, the public service part of the job has been ignored by the Justice Court of Precinct One, Place One.  I am a firm believer that every elected person from the White House to the Courthouse is a public servant.  I have spent my entire adult life being a public servant serving on various city appointed boards and commissions, civic groups, and the last twenty-three years as a police officer for the City of San Marcos.

My volunteer and leadership roles:

  • Youth Service Bureau - Board of Directors
  • Greater San Marcos Youth Council - Board of Directors
  • San Marcos Youth Council - Past President
  • San Marcos Mayor’s Commission on Youth
